Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about this tour

Absolutely! Our Rajasthan Royal Heritage Tour is family-friendly. We can adjust the pace and include child-friendly activities. The desert safari and elephant ride at Amber Fort are particularly popular with children. We recommend this tour for children aged 6 and above, but younger children can also join with some itinerary adjustments.

The ideal time for this tour is between October and March when the weather is pleasant (daytime temperatures 20-28°C). November to February is peak season with cooler weather, perfect for desert safaris. Summers (April-June) can be extremely hot (up to 45°C), while monsoon season (July-September) brings relief but some activities may be affected.

Our desert safari package includes a camel ride to the dunes, traditional welcome at the desert camp, cultural performances (folk dances and music), sunset viewing, a delicious Rajasthani dinner under the stars, and overnight stay in Swiss tents with attached bathrooms. In the morning, you'll enjoy sunrise views before returning to Jaisalmer.

Yes, we prioritize authentic heritage properties where possible. In Jaipur, we use a restored haveli (traditional mansion); in Udaipur, a lakeside palace hotel; and in Jodhpur, a heritage property with views of Mehrangarh Fort. Only in Jaisalmer do we stay in modern tents for the desert experience, but these are luxury Swiss tents with all amenities.

For October-March: Light woolens for evenings (especially in desert), comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, hat, and modest clothing for temple visits (shoulders/knees covered). For April-September: Light cotton clothes, sunscreen, wide-brimmed hat, and good walking sandals. Regardless of season, bring a scarf for sun/dust protection and a swimsuit for hotel pools. Neutral colors work best for desert photography.
